The Leimert Park Jazz Festival is returning to L.A. for its seventh annual community event this summer – and it’s free to the public!

With nearly 3,000 attendees at last year’s event, the Jazz Fest has become a cultural and social event designed to uplift the local music community. The event also hosts an art competition and awards college scholarships, and both are still open to applications.

Though the lineup has yet to be announced, the event is set to take place on Saturday, August 29, at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.

Doors open for the event at 2:30, with the headlining sets beginning at 3pm. The open jam then begins at 4pm and lasts til 5pm.
