The chairman of the Central Elections Committee for the 26th Knesset, Deputy Supreme Court President Justice Noam Sohlberg, has decided to appoint attorney Din Livne as acting director-general of the Central Elections Committee for the upcoming elections. This comes after the director-general of the Central Elections Committee, Orly Ades, announced her retirement from the position about a week and a half ago. Livne served for 13 years as the legal adviser to the committee, a period during which eight election campaigns were held. He held the position until this past January, when he left following a dispute with Ades.
