Fire crews swiftly contained a commercial fire in Phoenix on Sunday, and an investigation is underway.
PHOENIX — Fire crews responded to a commercial structure fire Sunday afternoon near 19th Avenue and Jefferson Street in Phoenix.
According to fire officials, crews were dispatched around 1:15 p.m. after reports of a fire inside a large commercial building. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from inside the structure.
Due to the size of the building, the incident was upgraded to a First Alarm response, bringing in additional crews and equipment to assist at the scene.
Firefighters deployed hose lines inside the building and were able to quickly knock down the fire before it spread to nearby structures.
Officials said no injuries have been reported.
Investigators remained at the scene Sunday afternoon, working to determine what caused the fire.
No additional information about damage estimates or potential business impacts has been released.
