The No. 2 Nebraska softball team (46-6) was selected as the fourth overall seed for the 2026 NCAA Tournament and will host a regional at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln, Neb. The Huskers would also host a super regional if they win the Lincoln Regional.

NU will open tournament play against South Dakota at 5:30 p.m. (CT) on Friday, May 15. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Coyotes (20-34-1) are the champion out of the Summit League. They downed Omaha, 2-1, on Saturday en route to their first Summit League title.

Louisville and Grand Canyon will play at 3 p.m. (CT) on Friday, May 15, immediately before Nebraska’s game against USD.

Sunday’s selection marks Nebraska’s 28th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and 24th in the last 31 years. This is also Nebraska’s 24th NCAA Tournament appearance under Head Coach Rhonda Revelle. Revelle’s 24 NCAA Tournament appearances rank fifth among active coaches at their current school. The Huskers rank 14th all-time in NCAA Tournament appearances, 20th in wins (69) and 15th in Women’s College World Series appearances (7).

This year marks the first time since 2013 and fifth time in venue history that Bowlin Stadium has hosted a regional.

Tickets for the 2026 Lincoln Regional will go on sale to the public tomorrow, May 11, at 3 p.m. (CT) and will be available here. There will be a tiered on-sale for Nebraska Athletics donors before the public on-sale.
