Theft of property

On April 29, a student reported the theft of a scooter, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email.

On April 30, a student reported the theft of headphones that were left unattended, McCord said.

Theft of property valued between $100 and $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, confinement in jail for up to 180 days or both.

Both cases are still active.

Forgery of a financial instrument

On April 28, a staff member reported a forged check, McCord said.

Criminal mischief

On April 29, a student reported damage to two tires on his vehicle by his ex-girlfriend. Officers made contact with the ex-girlfriend, who agreed to pay for the damage, McCord said.

Criminal mischief of under $100 is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.

The case is still active.

On April 28, a student reported damage to their vehicle while it was parked, McCord said.
