One person was critically injured after a crash with a Fort Worth police car early Sunday, police said.

A black Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound about 2:45 a.m. Sunday in the 6500 block of Camp Bowie Boulevard, police said in a statement.

A Fort Worth police car was traveling eastbound when the Chevrolet attempted to turn left on a flashing yellow arrow to travel southbound onto the 3400 block of Clayton Road, according to police.

The police car hit the Chevrolet in the front passenger door, police said.

The passenger of the Chevrolet was taken to a hospital and is in critical condition, police said.

Police did not provide further details about if the officer was injured or the specifics of how the police car was impacted.
