53rd Anniversary Menus at Ouisie’s Table 

Ouisie’s Table, 3939 San Felipe, celebrates 53 years with throwback prix fixe lunch and dinner menus featuring classic dishes created by founder Elouise “Ouisie” Jones and served as they originally appeared. Lunch offers two courses for $25 with dishes like Ouisie’s Splendid Spud and meatloaf with chipotle ketchup, while dinner features three courses for $39.95 including brandied oysters, bacon-wrapped quail and the restaurant’s longtime lemon ice box pie.

Chef’s Cycle Benefit Dinner at Camaraderie

Camaraderie, 608 West 11th, hosts a one-night Chef’s Cycle Benefit Dinner from 5 to 9 p.m., welcoming chef David “Baz” Bazirgan of Boston’s Uni to cook alongside chef Shawn Gawle for a family-style menu with optional wine pairings, with staggered seating times. Dishes include cobia sashimi, chilled asparagus, wagyu flat iron and king salmon. Seats are $125 per person, with proceeds supporting Bazirgan’s ChefCycle campaign to fight childhood hunger.

Chef’s Dinner Party Series at Doke Concepts 

Doke Concepts continues its multi-restaurant Chef’s Dinner Party Series, this time with Top Chef finalist Louis Maldonado,, whose extensive resume includes French Laundry, Aziza, Spoonbar and more. Evenings begin with champagne and first courses at Lazy Lane, continue with additional courses at The Green Room, and finish with dessert cocktails and s’mores at Heights & Co. Cocktails in Bloom at The Warehouse at Turkey Bend

Buffalo Bayou Partnership hosts its fifth annual Cocktails in Bloom fundraiser featuring specialty cocktails, bites from local favorites and live music at The Warehouse at Turkey Bend, 5803 Navigation. Individual tickets are $100, with proceeds supporting Buffalo Bayou parks, trails and programming. Colorful spring attire is encouraged.

Houston Greek Fest at St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church

Houston Greek Fest returns with three days of Greek food, pastries, live music, traditional dance performances, shopping and church tours at St. Basil the Great Orthodox Church, 1100 Eldridge. Festivalgoers can expect gyros, souvlaki, loukoumades and other Greek specialties alongside family-friendly activities and cultural programming throughout the weekend. Admission starts at $10, with kids 10 and under free.

Crawfish & Noodles Collab at Best Regards

Best Regards, 222 West 11th, continues its two-part pop-up with Crawfish & Noodles, serving Viet-Cajun crawfish boils, brunch dishes and cocktails from open to close. Specials include crawfish beignets, a crawfish omelet and crawfish by the pound with customizable spice, alongside drinks like a Crawfish Bloody Mary, Lemongrass Spritz and Frozen Vietnamese Coffee. 

Backyard Boil Series at Josephine’s Gulf Coast Tradition

Benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation, Josephine’s Gulf Coast Tradition, 318 Gray, hosts another guest chef for its epic Backyard Boil Series – this time, chef Evan Leroy of Austin’s Lerow & Lewis BBQ. Crawfish will be priced by the pound and guests can secure spots via Resy

Hogs for the Cause: Trail of BBQ

Texas barbecue spots including Pinkerton’s Barbecue and Blood Bros. BBQ are partnering with nonprofit Hogs for the Cause throughout May for the Trail of Barbecue fundraiser supporting families facing pediatric cancer. Diners can contribute through register round-ups and specialty menu items like Pinkerton’s new “Glazed and Confused” cocktail, with proceeds benefiting the organization, which recently announced a $1 million investment toward pediatric cancer research initiatives at Texas Children’s.

May Specials at Buttermilk Baby

Buttermilk Baby, 600 North Shepherd, is rolling out two limited-time specials for May : The Baby Got Bacon spin on a BLT with Tommy’s Thick Cut Bacon from B&B Butchers alongside lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo on a potato bun; and the Summer Berry Smash with layers of cake batter soft serve, strawberries, vanilla wafers, white chocolate pearls and whipped cream.

Crawfish Ramen at Ramen Tatsu-Ya

Ramen Tatsu-Ya brings back its limited-time favorite, The Crawmen, a crawfish boil-inspired ramen bowl with tonkotsu broth, Crawmen tare, garlic, andouille, crawfish succotash, green onion and lemon – available through the end of May.

Houston Astros Cake at Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen

Kenny & Ziggy’s, 1743 Post Oak, is offering its Houston Astros Cake by the slice or whole cake with proceeds benefiting Just Amazing Youth Sports. Slices are $10.95 and whole cakes are $55, with a portion of proceeds supporting free sports programs for kids with special needs. The cake features orange and navy layers with vanilla buttercream and whole cakes require 24-hour notice.

Siete X Loro Collab at Loro

Loro, 5333 Kirby, 1001 West 11th, are collabing with Austin-based company Siete from May 12–25, celebrating backyard asada season with a limited-time menu featuring the Siete Sourdough tortilla. The lineup includes a $5.50 smoked tri-tip taco with pastrami-style brine, cabbage slaw and jalapeño botana sauce, a $12 dip sampler with smoked shishito queso, Thai green salsa and smoked salmon dip, and an $11 mango chamoy slushee with aperol, sake and sparkling wine.
