WASHINGTON (TNND) — Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt released a viral ad on Mother’s Day where he praised his wife and showed the remains of his house that burned down in the Palisades fire.
The ad opens with Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag hugging and then cuts to the massive Los Angeles fires from last year.
Video footage is then shown of Montag and their two young sons next to the remains of the house.
“Is this the house?” one of the boys asked. “How do you get it up?”
Pratt, a former reality TV star, announced he was running for mayor on the anniversary of the Palisades Fire.
He lost his home in the massive fire that swept through Los Angeles and lives in a trailer with his family.
“Heidi and I have been through hell together,” Pratt said in the ad.
Video footage shows Montag and the boys walking around where their house used to be and observing the damage. The video is captioned, “mother’s day is every day.”
The video also shows Montag making s’mores for the boys.
