New York State Police have located a missing girl who disappeared in Morrisonville on Saturday evening.Police said 16-year-old Koltynne Wood was found safe on Monday following a large search, police confirmed. NYSP said Wood was found in good health and will be taken to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital for an evaluation. She was turned back over to her family.Wood was last seen on Shingle Street at 7 p.m. on Saturday. She was later seen again around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, on surveillance footage near State Route 22B in Morrisonville. Around 9 a.m. Monday morning, an emergency alert went out saying that police were searching buildings near Shingle Street, where Wood was possibly hiding.Police said they believe Wood may be in the wooded areas or near roadways in the surrounding area and that she may need medical attention.NBC5 confirmed that uniformed New York State Police troopers and sergeants are canvassing the area where Wood was believed to be hiding on Monday. Members of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation as well as drones and K-9 units are also being used in the search.NBC5’s team at the scene saw at least a dozen state troopers as well as members of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and a New York Forest Ranger vehicle helping with the search effort.Wood is described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a jean jacket over a light-colored shirt and dark pants.Residents in the area are asked to check security cameras, sheds, garages, wooded property, and any other areas where she may have sought shelter.
