The Tarrant County medical examiner and the FBI are searching around a home in Everman in connection with the disappearance and death of a 6-year-old boy who was first reported missing in 2023, according to police.
Everman Police Chief Al Brooks told NBC 5 that the search in the 3700 block of Wisteria Drive is another part of the investigative process.
According to the police chief, no new leads or information brought them to the location.
Investigators could be seen searching and digging in the backyard of a home on Tuesday.
NBC 5 crews reported seeing a Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office vehicle along with the FBI.
In April, a psychiatric evaluation indicated that Cindy Rodriguez Singh, who is under indictment in Tarrant County for capital murder in the killing of her 6-year-old son, is incompetent to stand trial, according to a district court record.
Rodriguez Singh is at the center of a high-profile investigation tied to the disappearance of her 6-year-old son, Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, who was reported missing from Everman. NBC DFW has previously reported that the child had not been seen for months before authorities were alerted in 2023, sparking a multi-agency investigation and international search efforts.
