Usually, you only find the Olympics in even-numbered years. But on Sunday, July 27, Party at the Block is breaking the even-year tradition to bring you The Gay Bar Olympics — all to benefit the Pride in Dallas Parade coming to The Strip on Sunday, Sept. 21

The fun happens from 3-7 p.m. at TMC: The Mining Company, 3903 Cedar Springs Road, and in the big parking lot behind the Caven bars in the 3900 block of Cedar Springs.

Cost to participate is a donation at registration, which opens at 2 p.m. Organizers are also signing up teams of four players for $100.

Gay Bar Olympics organizers promise “outrageous games, fierce competition and non-stop fun, including the Celebrity Dunk Tank where competitors will have the chance to dunk their favorite local celebrities, like Kathy Jack, Tracy N., Mikey Nguyen, Cassie Nova, Stu and more.

There will also be cornhole, beer pong, darts, trivia and flip cup, and, Sue Ellen’s manager Mindy May notes, “We’re going to be using, like, half the parking lot for Pickleball courts.”

Organizers stress that 100 percent of the proceeds from the Gay Bar Olympics goes toward supporting the 2025 Pride in Dallas Parade. Register in advance today to get in on the fun.
