Police arrest couple suspected of stealing rare cognac from Tempe restaurant

A Valley couple has been arrested after detectives say they stole a rare bottle of cognac from a Tempe restaurant.

Channel Miller, 34, and her husband Matthew Steve, 32, were dining just after 9 p.m. May 4 at Three Thirty-Three Restaurant “when investigators say the pair began acting suspiciously shortly after ordering appetizers,” a Tempe Police Department release stated.

Authorities allege Miller stole a 750 ml bottle of Louis XIII Cognac, valued at approximately $4,000, while her husband acted as a lookout.
