SAPD: Man critically hurt, shooting suspect on the loose

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man critically injured on the Northeast Side.

Investigators say it happened in the back parking lot of the Hallmark Inn & Suites in the 6300 block of Interstate 35. After the man was shot in the chest, police say he ran to the front of the building and collapsed.

One witness reportedly told investigators a dark-colored SUV was seen driving away from the hotel around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
