Anaadi: The Eternal Flow
Presented by Abinaya Arts Academy | Artistic Direction by Aler Krishnan.

Anaadi, The Eternal Flow is an exploration through BharataNatyam, one of India’s oldest classical dance traditions, with origins tracing back over two millennia.

In Anaadi, the classical vocabulary of BharathaNatyam, becomes a visceral journey into the infinite – where movement, rhythm, and emotion dissolve into a continuous experience beyond beginning and end.

Led by Aler Krishnan, the production brings together a nuanced ensemble of eight dancers who weave intricate rhythmic patterns with evocative expressive layers. Nritta (pure dance) and abhinaya (expressive storytelling) flow seamlessly into one another, revealing how structure transforms into feeling and form expands into meaning.

With no spoken word by the performers, the performance communicates through rhythm, footwork, hand gestures and facial expressions – the refined language of BharataNatyam – creating an experience that transcends time, geography, and culture.
