Alexander Zverev has faced some greats of the game since making his debut on the ATP Tour back in 2013.

Zverev has played and won against each of the ‘big three’, tallying a total of 13 wins against Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

The German has also clashed with Grand Slam champions such as Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka, and Juan Martin Del Potro.

There is one legend, however, Zverev never had the chance to face whom he would have ‘loved’ the chance to share the court with.

In an interview with digital creator Gareth Richman, Zverev was asked: “If you could play against, or with, any player, past or present, who would it be?”

He responded: “I played against and with Roger Federer. I played doubles with him and singles against him. That was the dream when I was growing up, for sure. It was surreal when I played doubles with him.

“I would love to play with Steffi Graf. It would have been so much fun. She’s an absolute hero, an absolute legend.

“I would have loved that experience to play against her or with her.”

Alexander Zverev says he ‘strongly believes’ he will still win a major

Zverev was then asked if he would rather have a long, successful career or a Grand Slam title to his name.

The world number three replied: “I feel like I have a long, successful career, right?

Zverev’s three major finals losses:

“The Slam is still missing, but I do believe that I am going to have both. I very strongly believe that.”

He made the final of the Australian Open earlier this year and the semi-finals at Roland Garros, before crashing out in the first round of Wimbledon.
