Help celebrate Peruvian Independence Day at the Peruvian Festival 2026: “Cultivating Our Roots.” NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 are once again proud sponsors of this joyous event, partnering with Academia Así es mi Peru and Artes de la Rosa to bring you an event that highlights the sounds, sights, tastes, and traditions of Peru. Join us on Saturday, July 25, starting at 5:00 p.m. in Fort Worth. Analía Fiestas from our sister station Telemundo 39 will serve as the evening’s emcee.

Peruvian Independence Day celebrates Peru’s independence from Spain on July 28 of 1821. Each year, Academia Así es mi Peru hosts a spectacular event that honors Peruvian culture. This year’s event will feature traditional Peruvian dance performances to the beat of lively music and proud cultural presentations. The festival is also an opportunity for community engagement as it presents their Impacto a la Comunidad Award (Community Impact Award in English). The award is presented to individuals who make meaningful contributions to the community.
