JACKSONVILLE, Ore. – The U.S. Wildland Fire Service is conducting prescribed fire operations on BLM-administered lands near Jacksonville on May 14.
Burn operations will start around 11 a.m. and should be completed by 3 p.m. People in the Applegate and Rogue Valleys shouldn’t be alarmed if they see smoke.
Travelers on Highway 238 between Ruch and Jacksonville should be prepared for increased traffic. Fire personnel will continue patrol and mop up operations after hours and through the weekend.
