The company previously closed their location in Decatur last year. However, they have plans to reopen under a new concept.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Sweetie Pie’s Ribeyes announced they are closing a second location in North Richland Hills. The company closed its Decatur location last year

Owners stated in a note to guests and community members that they will cease operations at their North Richland Hills location, located at the old Smithfield Gin Mill, effective at 9 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026.

The note states that the company will be turning their attention to a new concept that will better serve the community and the future at of the company in the same location.

“Serving our guests has been an incredible honor, and we are deeply grateful for the support you have shown us throughout the years,” the company said in a social media post. “From family dinners and celebrations to everyday moments shared around our tables, you allowed us to be a small part of your lives, and for that we are truly thankful.”

Operational and financial challenges facing the restaurant industry led the company to believe the restaurant’s concept wasn’t creating the experience and connection they had hoped, according to the release.

The letter states the company is committed to supporting its team members through this transition.

“This is not goodbye; it is simply the beginning of a new chapter. Be on the lookout for future announcements – we can’t wait to see you again soon,” says owner Joel Vinyard.
