The Hyatt Place Stockyards hotel is a couple of seasons away from celebrating its 20th anniversary, but future guests will be the beneficiaries of a $9 million upgrade slated to begin later this year. While details are limited, a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration (TDLR) shows the hotel is planning a “complete interior renovation with exterior upgrades, including addition/modification of patios, addition of shade structures, and landscape work.”
The $9 million remodel is expected to begin on August 3 and be completed by January 30, 2027, according to the TDLR. However, all TDLRs are subject to change without notice.
First opened on January 16, 2008, the Hyatt Place Stockyards was formerly an AmeriSuites before its $1.5 million transformation into the perfect place to “hang your hat,” according to reports from the time.
“We are excited to share the Hyatt experience and our new home with all the visitors and residents of the Historic Stockyards,” General Manager Laurie Tilley said at the grand opening. “The Hyatt Place is the kind of hotel that goes above and beyond expectations not only with our guests, but also our community.”
Hyatt Place Stockyards is within walking distance of East Exchange Avenue, giving guests easy access to the Fort Worth Stockyards, the Fort Worth Stockyards Station shopping mall and twice-daily views of the Fort Worth Herd driving its cattle down the street.
