Echo Park—Popular East Coast-inspired Italian deli Ggiata Delicatessen is expanding to Echo Park starting Monday, May 18. Ggiata already has an outpost in Highland Park.

Cookie Crawl

Embark on a cookie crawl across the Eastside in celebration of National Chocolate Chip Day from Friday, May 15, to Sunday, May 17. The crawl features Friends & Family in Silver Lake, Milkfarm in Eagle Rock, Modu Cafe in Highland Park, Proof Bakery Co-op in Atwater Village, and Valerie in Echo Park. Complete the crawl and win a dozen cookies and a gift card from each bakery. 

Dine Latino

The Latino Restaurant Association is celebrating Dine Latino week now until May 24, with participating restaurants sometimes offering special prix-fixe menus or highlighting certain flavors. There are over 300 restaurants participating—like Almaya in Lincoln Heights, Taqueria Frontera in Cypress Park, Amiga Amore in Highland Park, Yuca’s in Los Feliz and more.

Historic Filipinotown—Baryo HiFi is celebrating food and culture across Historic Filipinotown this Saturday, May 16, with food from over 20 local businesses. 

Silver Lake—Gigi Flea returns to 4100 on Sunday, May 17, with doodle portraits, a single’s board, vintage clothing and, of course, happy hour. 

Silver Lake—Untamed Spirits’ one-year anniversary party is Saturday, May 30, with fernet ice luge, photo station, DJs and more starting at 2 p.m. 

Highland Park—Each month, Chifa will host a different chef in partnership with Cipota Coffee and Arroz & Fun. On Saturday, May 30, Diep Tran will do a Vietnamese breakfast.

Echo Park—Dongame has rebranded its bar and menu concepts. 

Los Feliz—Old Gold now has two in-store lunch specials from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.—two slices and a drink for $13 or a slice, side Caesar and a drink for $12. Plus, they lowered their menu prices in general.
