The political action committee trying to keep security technology company Axon from building its new world headquarters campus in north Scottsdale got dealt a blow in court May 14, but it’s not out of the legal fight yet.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Michael Herrod ruled the state law that allows Axon to build its campus — complete with 600 apartments and 600 condominiums — is constitutional but also stayed his ruling until June 15, which allow the Taxpayers Against Awful Apartment Zoning Exemptions (TAAAZE) political action committee some time to decide whether it wants to appeal the ruling.
In the meantime, the city cannot approve any applications or issue any permits for the project.
