The Tempe City Council unanimously passed an update to a city nuisance ordance aimed at enforcement on private property during its May 14 meeting.
Some residents see this as positive, with short-term rentals and college students creating noise disturbances in the city. Others say that the ordinance could disrupt public gathrerings charities host to feed the homeless as some consider those a disturbances in neighborhood parks.
Daley Park neighborhood residents attended the meeting dressed in red with custom shirts that had a silhouette of trees on the back and the words “DALEY PARK” across the chest.
