AUSTIN, Texas — A man has been arrested outside San Antonio in connection with a deadly shooting at a North Austin motel, according to the Austin Police Department (APD).
Police said officers responded to a reported shooting at 7:32 p.m. May 8 at a Budget Inn in the 9100 block of North Interstate 35 southbound.
Callers reported a person had been shot at the motel’s front desk. When officers arrived, they found Se Hun Park unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest. Park was taken to a hospital, where he later died May 14, police said.
Detectives with APD’s Aggravated Assault Unit and crime scene specialists processed the scene.
Investigators said the suspect, identified as Sean Walton, got into a verbal argument with Park before allegedly pulling out a gun and shooting him.
Walton was seen leaving the scene in a vehicle, police said. Authorities later obtained an arrest warrant and, with help from other agencies, located and arrested Walton on May 10 in Cibolo, about 25 miles northeast of San Antonio. Walton remains in custody in Guadalupe County.
