Barcelona are on the verge of sealing a deal for Marcus Rashford, who is expected to join the club on a loan deal.

Rashford will become Barcelona’s second major summer signing after Joan Garcia, notwithstanding the club’s acquisition of Swedish talent Roony Bardghji.

The big challenge for Barcelona now will be to register not only Garcia but also Rashford as they gear up for the new season.

Barcelona to pay €115,000 to RFEF

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will have to pay the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) around €115,618 in registration fees once the signings are processed.

This amount, a fixed fee for each player registration in the top division, is mandatory and must be paid directly to the RFEF.

For each player, the club owes €57,809, which means both Garcia and Rashford together will cost just over €115,000 in registration charges.

On top of this, Barça will also have to cover the standard player license fees for the 2025–26 campaign.

The RFEF charges €1,268.5 per license for each player in the first-team squad. With a maximum of 25 players allowed, this amounts to an additional €31,000.

In total, Barcelona are expected to pay approximately €146,618 in combined registration and licensing fees for the upcoming season.

Interestingly, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who joined last season, won’t require a repeat payment of this fee.

Even though he must be re-registered, the original registration payment was already made when he signed for the club after briefly retiring from football.

Meanwhile, the final registration of Rashford is expected to hinge on further outgoings. Barcelona are counting on savings from Clement Lenglet’s exit, Ansu Fati’s loan to Monaco, and Pablo Torre’s move to Mallorca to create the necessary fair play margin.
