Recently, residents, team members and supporters gathered at the Scholarship Luncheon to celebrate the life-changing impact of the scholarship program at Cypress Village Retirement Community — a program built on generosity, opportunity and a shared belief in education.
Thanks to the incredible support of residents and donors throughout the year, the scholarship fund raised an impressive $130,325, helping team members pursue educational goals and advance their careers. This year alone, more than $60,000 in scholarships has been awarded to 22 employees representing seven different departments across the community, with four additional scholarships currently in progress to be awarded soon.
The scholarship program is uniquely led by residents who serve on the Scholarship Committee, dedicating their time and energy to fundraising efforts, reviewing applications and selecting recipients. Their commitment continues to open doors for employees seeking to further their education while balancing careers and family responsibilities.
