A man has been arrested in connection with a fire that killed three people in the Bronx last week, authorities said.

Daniel Santana, 45, intentionally started a blaze that tore through a building on Third Avenue in Mott Haven on May 6, according to police and a complaint filed with the Bronx district attorney’s office.

“This heinous crime took the lives of three New Yorkers and endangered the lives of our first responders,” FDNY Commissioner Lillian Bonsignore said in a statement.

“Thanks to the excellent investigative work by our Fire Marshals and our law enforcement partners, this dangerous individual will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” she added.
