The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating two armed robberies that happened overnight at massage parlors in Chinatown.

According to police, the first robbery happened at 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, at a business located on the 200 block of North 12th Street. The second robbery occurred just three hours later, at 4 a.m., at a business on the 100 block of North 10th Street.

Police did not say whether they think the two robberies are related.

Robbery on North 12th Street

According to police, three male suspects were let into the property by the victim, and then they forced themselves by pushing the victim out of the way once inside.

Officials said the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene. One of the suspects was armed with a gun.

No arrests have been made in connection with this robbery.

The investigation is ongoing.

Robbery on North 10th Street

Five suspects, three men and two women, forced their way into the business, according to police. Officials also said that four of the suspects were armed.

According to police, the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and cellphones.

A 41-year-old woman sustained a cut to the right side of her face, police said. She was transported by a private vehicle to Jefferson University Hospital where she was treated and released.

No arrests have been made.
