A 23-year-old Aeropostale employee at North East Mall in Hurst was arrested Thursday after a camera confiscated from a dressing room was linked back to him, police said.
Officers first learned of a possible hidden camera on April 24 after two women reported an incident to 911 regarding the Aeropostale in the mall at 1101 Melbourne Road, according to a news release from the Husrt Police Department.
Officers met with the women who found a “small, partially hidden camera” in the dressing room, police said in the release. The women took the camera after finding it, left the store and contacted the police.
Detectives investigating the footage on the camera confirmed it had captured invasive recordings and identified a suspect, police said.
Around 10 a.m. Thursday, police arrested a 23-year-old man at his home. The man, who worked at Aeropostale, was on administrative leave at the time of his arrest, police said.
A search warrant was obtained, and police said additional evidence was collected at his home. The 23-year-old faces charges of invasive visual recording and tampering with physical evidence.
