As the head of a Jewish school in the Bronx, I’ve had to make difficult decisions to create a more secure environment in and around my school as the menace of antisemitism has surged in New York and across the country in recent years. We have been forced to divert educational resources and increase our security budget to safeguard students and staff as a precaution when the threat of violence against Jews has become common in the city.
