SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The Museum of Broadcast Communications has announced the Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2026, and San Diego’s very own Shotgun Tom Kelly is on the list to be immortalized.

The Chicago-based museum narrowed down the field from 25 potential candidates to six inductees, including Kelly, who has been in radio for over 50 years.

Shotgun Tom joined “Good Morning San Diego” on Thursday to thank all the listeners and radio peers who voted for his induction.

“I love our fans,” Kelly said. “I want to thank each and every one of you for getting me nominated. And I want to thank all of our people in the Hall of Fame, like Tommy Sablan, thank you so much; I richly appreciate it.”

The induction ceremony will take place Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.
