Creighton Prep junior premieres stop-motion LEGO film in Omaha

Chris Bakyaw, a junior at Creighton Prep, premiered his stop-motion LEGO film, “The Portal,” at a red carpet event in Omaha, marking the culmination of five years of work. The opening night featured friends, popcorn, and a celebratory atmosphere. The film, intended for adult audiences, will have showings this summer at the Great Events Center in Omaha.”The different stop motion and angles he’s using are just like the action thrillers. The voices and lighting make it feel like real dramatic cinema,” said Bakyaw’s film teacher Jeremy Caniglia.”I love traveling, I just wish the portal would make it instant to step through other dimensions and worlds,” Bakyaw said.
