Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch filmed its first season all around North Texas.
The Paramount+ show follows Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler on a new adventure in the fictional South Texas town of Rio Paloma. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprise their Yellowstone roles, along with Finn Little as their adopted son Carter.
Several Fort Worth and other North Texas locations and references appeared in the first two episodes of Dutton Ranch.
Here’s a look at all the locations and references featured in season 1, episode 3, “Act of God Business,” which aired on Friday, May 22 on Paramount+ and the Paramount Network.

This was filmed at Watts Chapel United Methodist Church and Cemetery in Grandview at 6924 County Road 308.
The property is named after the family of Nathaniel Franklin Watts (1851-1919), who settled in Johnson County in 1872, according to the Texas Historical Commission. The location landed a historical marker in 1992.
At 12:44, Carter (Finn Little) arrives at a restaurant to meet Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind).
This was filmed in Weatherford at Tavern on the Lake at 210 W. Lake Drive.
The restaurant is known for its “stuffed” burgers and funnel-cake stick “fries,” according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Bud Kennedy.
This was filmed at the actual Hotel Swexan in Dallas located at 2575 McKinnon St. The hotel opened its doors in 2023.
Stillwell’s, a steakhouse located inside the hotel, also makes an appearance in the same sequence. The restaurant is offering a Dutton Ranch-themed tasting menu through late June that includes multiple courses inspired by the “bold flavors of Texas ranch country.”
