FARGO — A new restaurant, Phoenix Buffet, is set to open soon in the former home of the Mexican Village that was located at 3155 45th St. S. in Fargo.

“All of our inspections have now been completed and we are currently hoping to open around the end of this month as we finish the remaining setup and preparation work,” Phoenix Buffet owner David Feng said.

Feng said Phoenix Buffet will offer a large variety of Asian cuisine, including sushi, Chinese food, seafood, hibachi and pho, as well as a wide selection of desserts, salads, ice ream and more.

“We look forward to welcoming the Fargo community soon,” Feng added.

Phoenix Buffet is just one of several new establishments

that have opened or are expected to open in 2026.

The Mexican Village restaurant at the 45th Street location

closed at the end of 2024.

The latter is now home to Paradox Comics-N-Cards and Orange Records.
