Report: 2 children found dead in burning car died of ‘sharp force injuries,’ Bexar County ME

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — There are new developments in the case of two children found dead in a burning car.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office says Aleeza Vidal, 6, and Adrian Vidal, 5, died of sharp force injuries. Both were found dead inside a burned white Hyundai SUV before dawn on the morning of May 15. Their deaths are officially ruled homicides.

Marlene Vidal, 34, is the children’s mother, and she has been charged with capital murder and arson. She remains in the Bexar County Jail with bond set at $2 million.
