Two people were fatally shot early Sunday morning in Fort Worth, police say.
Officers responded at about 2:30 a.m. to calls of shots fired near a home in the 7100 block of Avington Way, near Corral Drive, where police officials said several people were attending a party.
When officers arrived, they found witnesses had carried a victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body into the roadway. The victim, who was not publicly identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim with a gunshot wound to the neck was found in a vehicle parked near the home, where police said they were also pronounced dead.

According to police, gunfire erupted after an altercation escalated between the first victim and the suspect. The suspect then ran from the home, police said.
The second shooting took place moments later, police said, and detectives were working Monday to determine if both victims were shot by the same suspect.
