A sewer in Moraine is overflowing due to overwhelming stormwater entering the system, Montgomery County Environmental Service and the city of Moraine announced.

They urged residents to avoid the area near Payne Recreation Center and Swimming Hole Road, which includes an area near Main Street near the Great Miami River. They also said to use extreme caution anywhere else there is standing water because there could be sewage mixed with the storm water.

Excessive rainfall led to problems with flooding across the region, including closed roads and crews rescuing people from their flooded houses.
