Clive Davis has been hospitalized in New York.
A spokesperson for Clive told TMZ that the famed music executive and record producer was admitted to a New York City hospital Friday evening.
He is reportedly suffering from an upper respiratory infection and was admitted to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.
He is expected to be released after 24 hours. His hospitalization comes just days after he attended the Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner and Auction in New York City.

The four-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee has shaped the landscape of modern music over a career spanning more than six decades. As the former president of Columbia Records and the founder of both Arista Records and J Records, he was instrumental in launching and guiding the careers of legends including Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Janis Joplin, and Alicia Keys.
This marks another health challenge for Davis in recent years. In February 2021, he postponed his annual pre-Grammy gala after being diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. His representatives stated at the time that he was treated with antibiotics and steroids and expected to make a full recovery. Davis has hosted his star-studded gala on the eve of the Grammy Awards annually since 1975.
Beyond his legacy as a label founder, Davis previously led the RCA Music Group and most recently served as the chief creative officer at Sony Music Entertainment.
