LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The City of La Crosse will seek emergency approval Monday to replace a malfunctioning pool heater at Erickson Pool for $33,240.
The Board of Public Works will consider the emergency repair request after city officials determined the existing pool heating unit has a defective heat exchanger.
The broken equipment serves as the sole heating system for pool water at Erickson Pool, according to Parks Department Deputy Director Dan Trussoni.
City parks officials are recommending the complete replacement of the 11-year-old heating unit rather than attempting repairs.
The Board of Public Works meets Monday at 10 a.m.
