Summer has started and at KUT we’re looking forward to spending some quality time reading and enjoying Austin’s literary scene.
To make things a bit more fun, we created a summer reading challenge that is open to anyone. We’ll be playing bingo from now till Aug. 26, and we hope you’ll join us!
Here’s how it will work.
Download and print out your bingo card. We’ll also have copies available at our other summer events and our front desk at KUT Public Media Studios.
Keep track of the books you read and cross out the prompts you complete. You can only use one book per box on the bingo card.
If you get one bingo, you’ll get a Field Guide to Austin bookmark and sticker. Two bingos will get you that Field Guide swag and a voucher for a scoop of Lick ice cream.
If you get blackout — or complete all the prompts — you’ll also be entered into raffles, including one for a pair of tickets to our next ATXplained live show.
We’ll be sharing staff book recommendations throughout the summer, as well as hosting a book swap in July. At the end of August, we’ll get together for a celebration where you can pick up your prizes and socialize with your fellow bookworms. We’ll have more details on those events soon!
