SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An off-duty deputy with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is about to be out of a job after he was arrested at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.
Investigators say Carlos Favela was stopped Thursday, and investigators say an undocumented immigrant was inside the car with him.
Favela has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending termination. He had worked for the agency for two years.
Multiple investigations are being conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
