Bow Wow, Ashanti, Soulja Boy and more return to the Bayside Amphitheater as SeaWorld launches another summer of nostalgia-filled performances
SeaWorld San Diego launched its annual Summer Spectacular Concert Series on June 6, bringing a lineup of fan-favorite artists back to the Bayside Amphitheater for another season of live music.
The summer tradition returns with a mix of hip-hop, R&B, pop and rock performers who helped define the 1990’s and early 2000s. Several artists return by popular demand, including Bow Wow, Ashanti and Soulja Boy, each making their fourth appearance at the waterfront venue.
The series runs through Aug. 29, with performances scheduled throughout the summer at 6 p.m.
This year’s lineup opened with the Ying Yang Twins on June 6 and continues with Ginuwine on June 13, followed by Bow Wow and Dem Franchize Boyz on June 20. The Pop 2000 tour featuring Chris Kirkpatrick takes the stage June 27 before the series pauses for the July 4 holiday weekend and returns July 11 with Bay Area rap legend E-40.
Additional performers include Ashanti on July 18, Soulja Boy and Paul Wall on July 25, Jordin Sparks on Aug. 1 and Too $hort with Warren G on Aug. 8. Rock fans can also catch Saliva on Aug. 15, Uncle Kracker on Aug. 22 and Skillet Aug. 29.
SeaWorld also expanded its live entertainment this year, announcing concerts beyond the traditional summer schedule through its Seven Seas and Bayside Bands, Brew & BBQ events. The move gives guests more opportunities to experience live music throughout the year while continuing one of the park’s most popular seasonal attractions.
Concerts come included with park admission. Guests can find additional event information, purchase admission and reserve seating through SeaWorld’s Summer Spectacular Concert Series Page.
