BRENTWOOD — California Department of Fish and Wildlife officials were called after a resident here spotted a mountain lion Tuesday morning, police said.
Few details were available, but police posted a video of the mountain lion wandering outside the fence of a home in the area of Fairview Avenue and San Jose Drive. Police did not say what time the video was taken.
Police urged anyone in the area to be cautious, especially if they have children and pets. Anyone who sees the mountain lion can call the state officials at 707-428-2002 or Brentwood police at 925-809-7911. People may also call 9-1-1 if they see the lion.
Messages left with Fish and Wildlife officials were not returned immediately.
