Gravel-voiced singer Ryan Bingham was born in New Mexico and, in TV land, he’ll be forever linked with Montana thanks to Yellowstone, where he played Walker, a guitar-strumming ex-con tied to the Dutton ranch.
But Bingham’s a Texan through and through.
He thanked the Gents for making the album “loose and live and gritty with a bit of soul … the Texas Gentlemen really let us lean into that in a way I hadn’t experienced before,” he said in a statement.
The group — Ryan Ake (guitars), Daniel Creamer (piano, organ), Paul Grass (drums, percussion) and Scott Lee (bass) — will join Bingham at his Dallas concert and summer stadium shows opening for Zach Bryan. Bingham’s touring band also includes Texas musician Richard Bowden, a Linden native who played with Don Henley in Henley’s pre-Eagles band Shiloh and found semi-fame with the comic duo Pinkard & Bowden.
