A 2-year-old child was abducted in an armed robbery at a Chicago home early Wednesday morning, police said.

The young girl was taken just before 5 a.m. from the 4800 block of South Michigan Avenue after a group of three armed people forced entry into a home, authorities said.

The woman and two men, all armed with firearms, abducted the 2-year-old before taking a vehicle and “other property,” the Chicago Police Department said in an alert.

The group then fled the scene with the child in a stolen gray Nissan hatchback.

Police said no injuries were reported in the incident and no one was in custody as of 8:45 a.m.

An investigation remained ongoing but authorities believe the incident could be domestic-related.
