Livonia considering deer cull to address overpopulation

  • July 23, 2025

Other Metro Detroit cities planning culls

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – Livonia officials are trying to find ways to stop the overpopulation of deer in the area.

The city council is weighing options and costs of trying to deal with the deer. One of those options includes a deer cull.

The deer overpopulation had led to more crashes and damage to yards.

Farmington and Southfield are planning culls for winter 2026.
