SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A portion of a major East Valley freeway is closed due to a deadly crash, according to officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The northbound lanes of Loop 101 are closed near Thomas Road after a crash and vehicle fire, officials said. One person was confirmed dead in the crash.
Drivers should expect delays or find an alternate route. There is no estimated time to reopen the lanes.
