David Moyes has been keen to strengthen the attacking options at Everton this summer.
The Scottish boss will be hopeful of lifting his side into the top half of the Premier League table next term, but he will be unable to do that without continued investment in the playing squad.
Thierno Barry has already arrived to bolster the striker department, and the Toffees now seem set to add another new star in the wide areas.
Jack Harrison’s return to Leeds United has left a gap for the Merseysiders to fill on the right flank, but Moyes could now be about to receive a brand new star.

Everton have shown an interest in signing Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad this summer, and now they are about to take their pursuit of the Japanese international to a new level.
The 24-year-old has been excellent for the Basque outfit across a three-year spell in their colours, but it now seems as though he is destined for the Premier League this term.
The Toffees are understood to be preparing an offer in the region of £34.6million to sign Kubo, according to reports from Fichajes (22 July).
Sociedad are thought to potentially be open to allowing Kubo’s departure, providing a strong offer comes their way. Everton’s prospective approach is also believed to align with their current valuation of the wideman.
With The Friedkin Group now set to take a huge step forward in their chase of Kubo, Moyes must be delighted at the prospect of being able to add the La Liga star to his ranks.

Everton were offered the chance to sign Kubo earlier in the window, and now it looks as though they will take up the Spanish giants on that possibility.
He would undoubtedly be a fantastic addition to the squad, despite the fact that the Toffees will be parting with a fairly sizeable fee to bring him in.
Kubo’s stats for Real Sociedad.
The 44-cap international is experienced beyond his years, having just completed his seventh full season in the Spanish top flight by the age of just 24, and he is certainly a player who appears to be ready to take on the Premier League.
He has made significant contributions for Sociedad over the last few campaigns, and is already a crucial member of his national team as well.
Kubo has been tipped for big things since his days in Real Madrid’s youth system, and now he could be set to realise his potential at Everton.
