A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to a shooting death that occurred in the Wicker Park neighborhood in 2025.

According to Chicago police, the suspect was also charged with armed robbery in connection to the Nov. 15, 2025 incident, which unfolded in the 1500 block of North Honore.

It is alleged the suspect participated in the armed robbery of another 17-year-old, and ultimately gunfire rang out, with the victim shot multiple times according to Chicago police.

He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Chicago police say the suspect in the case was taken into custody in the 1500 block of North Washtenaw Avenue on Saturday, and he now faces felony charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

No further information was available, and the teen is expected to appear in court this week.
