West Hollywood’s esteemed small plates restaurant is pulling out all the stops this Father’s Day with both brunch and dinner offerings. Hit the ground running at 10 a.m. with a true breakfast of champions: Spanish fried chicken and a cornmeal waffle with jamón serrano, chili-cumin butter and maple syrup. For dinner, unwind with curated bourbon cocktails and a Mediterranean-inspired menu showcasing summer’s finest produce, available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Reservations can be made through OpenTable.

There is no better place to impress the grill-obsessed dad than the Arts District’s Berenjak, where diners can expect Persian feasting menus of charcoal-grilled kebabs and saffron-marinated meats seared over open flames. Fastidious fathers will be hard-pressed to find a more decadent meal than these Glendale steakhouse specials, which include spicy tuna “cigars” topped with caviar, a Kurobuta pork duo of double-cut chop and braised pork belly served with roasted peaches and Lambic beer peach purée. This year, La Dolce Vita celebrates both Father’s Day and its 60th anniversary, commemorating over a half-century of memories made at this Beverly Hills landmark. In honor of both occasions, the restaurant offers a limited-time menu of house-made fennel pork sausage and peppers; fried ravioli with beef bolognese; lasagna spiral with pecorino cream; and a hulking 40 oz. porterhouse steak florentine. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., the iconic Beverly Hills steakhouse celebrates Father’s Day with hand-carved Westholme Australian Wagyu prime ribs of beef, available in three different cuts ranging from $71 to $125 and all served with salad, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and horseradish. The beef is prized for its rich marbling and buttery texture, sure to give Dad a meal he’ll never forget.

One of Santa Monica’s finest Mediterranean restaurants offers the one-of-a-kind HABIBI-Q, a family-style feast featuring an array of bold Egyptian flavors. Trade out Dad’s famous hot dogs and burgers for kataifi-wrapped prawns, glazed salmon, saffron rice pilaf and a show-stopping 12-hour smoked short rib. Trade the white tablecloth for an apron and shaker — this year, Downtown L.A.’s Redbird offers a special Father’s Day grilling and cocktail class, where guests can enjoy live grilling demos of New Caledonian prawns and prime rib eye steak from chef Neal Fraser, as well as gin and whiskey cocktail demonstrations from the restaurant’s bar director. Tickets for the 3 p.m. event are $150 per guest with just 40 spots, so book through OpenTable while there’s time.

Santa Monica’s Sirena at The Georgian Hotel offers a new Father’s Day twist on their weekly “Spaghetti Sunday” special, a prix fixe menu showcasing classic Italian family dinners and starting at $65 per person. Diners can expect a 12 oz. New York strip steak, as well as housemade garlic bread, Caesar salad and, of course, the deceptively simple spaghetti with red sauce. Children under 12 eat at half price ($35 per person), so bring the bambinos and book a table through Resy.

Steak 48 redefines luxury dining for Dad with all of its meats cut in-house by expert butchers in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled butcher shop. Masters of both surf and turf, the Beverly Hills steakhouse offers everything from a 46 oz., bone-in Wagyu tomahawk to whole jumbo Norwegian king crab legs. Reservations are available online.

This Westside Spanish staple offers two limited-time, decadent paellas from June 18 through Father’s Day on June 21. The $148 Wagyu paella layers more than a pound of tender ribeye over Bomba rice, while the Fideuà option features short Spanish noodles, lobster and a smoked Valencian-style aioli. For the dads who’d rather stay at home, Telefèric Barcelona provides the $109 Father’s Day to-go pack, including enough patatas bravas, pollo empanadas and tuna taquitos to feed the whole family.

At Hermosa Beach’s beloved tiki bar, dads can enjoy a custom portrait from 12 to 2 p.m. by caricature artist Smug Mugz while dining on brunch favorites such as “Island Pancakes,” eggs benedict, short rib hash and a classic steak and eggs.
