Vermont man arrested for murder following Troy, NY stabbing

A Vermont man has been charged with second-degree murder after an argument among several people turned violent in Troy, New York.The Albany Times-Union said Noah Anderson, 20, was charged with second-degree murder, gang assault and criminal weapons possession after he and three other men got into a physical fight early Saturday.The Troy Police Department said they found the victim and one other man suffering from knife wounds following a fight near Fifth Avenue and Fulton Street at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. The victim, a 37-year-old man, died at the hospital. The other man, a 19-year-old from New Jersey, survived. He and another suspect are facing gang assault charges for their alleged involvement in the fight.Police did not identify the man who died, and said they are still working to contact his family members. They said he was punched, kicked and stabbed during the fight.Investigators have not said whether the men knew each other before the fight began.All three suspects appeared before a judge on Saturday and were ordered held at the Rensselaer County Jail.
